Accessibility

Our aim

Everyone should be able to use this website: by keyboard, with a screen reader or magnification, on a computer or a phone. Our benchmark is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. This statement covers https://photographydenizz.com.

Legal note

We are a micro-enterprise. The Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG, German Accessibility Act) does not apply to us under § 3(3) BFSG. We still build this website voluntarily to WCAG 2.2, level AA.

Compliance status

The website largely conforms to WCAG 2.2 AA. We check it with automated tests and by hand whenever it changes. The known limitations are listed below.

Our service on this website

The website presents our photo and video services, packages and common questions. There is no online shop and no customer account. You ask about a date by WhatsApp, e-mail or phone. The form on the contact page stores and sends nothing: it only puts your message together, and you send it yourself from your e-mail program or WhatsApp.

What we do

• Everything works with the keyboard, and the focus is always visible.
• The first link on every page (“Skip intro”) skips the opening video and goes straight to the content.
• With “reduce motion” switched on, no animation and no video plays: the home page then shows a still image. The same applies in data-saver mode, on a slow connection and without JavaScript.
• The moving client quotes can be stopped with “Pause”, also by keyboard; they also stand still while the pointer is over them.
• The client-quote cards turn with the space bar. “Read more” opens the full text in a window: the Tab key stays in the window, Esc closes it, and the focus returns to the card.
• Text has a contrast of at least 4.5 : 1, and controls are at least 44 × 44 pixels.
• Text can be enlarged to 200 %; down to 320 pixels wide nobody has to scroll sideways.
• Photos have text descriptions in three languages; colour never carries meaning on its own.
• There is a light and a dark design.

Known limitations

• The opening video on the home page has no sound and no audio description. It is part of the design: all content is also there as text, and the video can be skipped.
• The date field uses your browser's own picker; how it works depends on the browser.
• We do not offer texts in Easy Language or sign language.
